The Voice Squad is a fabulous Youth Stage Choir which has been going in Bury St Edmunds for 30 years, giving concerts and staging full-scale musicals. Following her own move to Diss, Voice Squad director – Birgitta Kenyon – is setting up a new branch. It is for young singers who love to perform; in a loose choral format we tackle music of all different sorts, with some movement and harmonies, depending on the inclination of the group.
We’ll be singing on Mondays at the United Reformed Church, Diss at the following times:
1/ Ages 6-9: 3.40pm-4.25pm
2/ Ages 10-13: 4.35pm-5.30pm
3/ Ages 14-19: 5.35pm-6.45pm
The first week is an Open Day, 8th November, and there will be no charge this week! All are welcome to try out for free, but you MUST register first.
If you decide to join, the remaining weeks up till 13th December will be charged at £4/ £5/ £6 per session for the three groups, charged in a block for the remainder of term (£20/ £25 and £30 for the aged groups respectively). We’ll have an in-session performance at the end of term: our young singers will perform for their friends and families so everyone can get the feel of the buzz we are aiming for long-term…
IT’S SIMPLE TO TAKE PART! Just register!
To register please email Birgitta, on firstname.lastname@example.org, stating your child’s name and age, and therefore which group they will be attending. You’ll be sent an acknowledgement, and a WORDSHEET to please print off and bring with you on the day.
Parents may sit in and watch the session.
Finally, please feel free to spread the word and get your friends to drop me a line if they have youngsters who love singing but have no outlet for it!
